Latta Plantation

Latta Plantation is the historic site where we do Living History and Re-enacting.  Latta is a circa 1800 cotton plantation that does tours, living history events and school programs.  For more info, you can check out the Latta Plantation website.

On the grounds they have the restored plantation house which you can tour, a kitchen, several outbuildings including a well house, smoke house, and a carriage barn.  There is also the animal barn and 3 separate cabins; the slave cabin, the yeoman cabin, and the Alexander cabin. The Alexander cabin is actually the oldest cabin in Mecklenburg county.
